The Little Prince

Our Mainstage cast started the semester expecting to perform this show in our theater, but when COVID-19 canceled our live rehearsals and performances, our cast quickly shifted to Zoom rehearsals and filmed performances. Director Paul Zmolek made a storyboard and each actor filmed their scenes independently and separately. Even though each performer filmed their lines separately, through the magic of filmmaking, they appear to be performing in the same room! Costume designer Katy Fedore brought out each character’s attributes in costume and editor Juliet Yaques edited over 200 videos together into a 75-minute artistic feast! Watch The Little Prince travel to new, magical worlds, including a lonely planet called Earth where he meets a confused Aviator who narrates Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s classic story of their fantastical journey.
