Artist Visa Support

If you’re working on an O or P artist visa application as an immigration attorney, an employer/petitioner, or a visiting artist/performing arts group, COCA can review your materials and write a letter of consultation/no objection for the application. We can help all artists and creative professionals with this process (including, among others, the performing, visual, literary, design, and media arts).

Letters of Consultation

Requirements:

• Academic Credentials: Diplomas and transcripts (with certified English translations)
• Curriculum Vitae with detailed descriptions of positions held and job duties
• Letters of Employment/Professional Reference Letters from Peers with start and end dates, job titles and descriptions of general duties and accomplishments
• Newspaper Articles, Publications, Conference Presentations/Lectures.
• Evidence of Prizes and Awards.
• Any other evidence of professional expertise that supports the case
• Certified English translations of any documentation/evidence issued in a foreign language

Fees

→ $150 – Letter of Consultation (3-5 Business Days)

→ $150 – Addition letter requesting additional information from USCIS for further evidence

→ $400 – Rush Service (24-48 hours)

Please note:

You must be a COCA member to request a letter of consultation. You can join COCA here

We are not immigration attorneys and can’t offer advice about the actual visa application/process. If you have questions about getting a visa, check out www.artistsfromabroad.org. We are happy to provide further immigration attorney referrals upon request.

COCA is considered a “peer group” and not a management or labor organization. Please check your visa application requirements to determine if you can use a peer group letter as your primary letter, or if you can only use a peer group letter as a supplement to a letter from a union or labor organization.
