Auditions for Tweens and Teens - Ride the Cyclone, Shrek Jr., Addams Family School Edition, and more!

Thank you so much for your interest in auditioning for one of Making Light’s performance classes!  The 2023-2024 season is going to be our best yet, and we can’t wait to see you at auditions.  Auditions take place on August 5-6, 2023, in the Making Light Theatre (the days you are required to attend depend upon the class in which you are interested in joining – see details below).

If you haven’t already, the first step in auditioning is to fill out the audition registration form by July 31, found here: https://www.makinglightproductions.org/Sign-Me-Up/Auditions-Fall-2023

After you register for auditions, we will follow up with details on your audition time(s).

On the audition page, you’ll also find important information describing each of the classes included in auditions:

NEW! Musical Theatre 5: Mainstage Studio (Ride the Cyclone) – Ages 14+ / 9th grade and up
Acting 2: Mainstage Acting (Radium Girls)  –  Ages 12+ / 6th grade and up
Musical Theatre 4:  Mainstage Musical Theatre (Shrek Jr. and Addams Family School Edition) –  Ages 12+ / 6th grade and up
Dance 3: Mainstage Song and Dance –  Ages 12+ / 6th grade and up
Making Light Singers Show Choir – Ages 12+ / 6th grade and up

IMPORTANT: Most classes at Making Light do NOT require an audition!! We have multiple awesome recreational music, theatre and dance classes available for anyone to register, build skills and have fun with friends – and that full schedule will be up on our website the week of July 4.  Auditions are specifically for the classes listed above.
