Funding for Book Festivals Available

Florida Humanities is offering up to $10,000 to support events that celebrate the joy of reading, encourage thoughtful interactions between authors and their readers, and reflect on how literature conveys the human experience.
This grant requires a 1:1 cost-share. To receive $10,000, the applicant should submit a proposal that costs at least $20,000.
Programming can take place over one day or multiple days, virtually or in-person, and may include in- and out-of-state authors. Eligible events should include some or all of the following elements:
Author and illustrator talks and signings
Author and illustrator panel and discussions
Writing workshops
Keynote addresses
Who can apply?
Florida-based non-profits, or
Florida-based public agencies (including libraries, museums, schools, tribal governments, colleges and universities).
Deadlines:
A Letter of Intent is due at least six months prior to the first day of proposed programming.
An application is due within 30 days of Letter of Intent Approval.
Notification of award will be within 30 days of application submission.
