Art in the Open is a new public art program, with the goal of promoting public art in the new Creative District of Thomasville, Georgia to stimulate growth and economic development in our Historic Downtown. Furry and Feathered, the Wildlife Yarn Bomb, will be the first of many projects to come!

Up to 20 teams of fiber artists will compete to yarn bomb trees along W Jackson st. This yarn bomb celebrates wildlife and will go up during this year's Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival, from November 11th to December 12th.  Each team of 1-3 fiber artists will create a fiber art sleeve for the tree trunk and add embellishments of wildlife that are felted, knitted, or created with any other form of fiber art.

Deadline to apply is August 31st.
