Continue the tradition of Tallahassee’s longest running event for honoring volunteers in our community by nominating someone today.

Give volunteers the acknowledgment they so richly deserve. Then join us for the awards luncheon on May 4 at 11:30 a.m. at the Florida State University’s University Center Club.

Here are the categories:

GROUP: NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION – A 501(c)(3) organization, club, neighborhood association, or group that has significantly contributed volunteer service to the community.

GROUP: BUSINESS/GOVERNMENT AGENCY – A private business/workplace or federal, state or local government agency/office that contributes significant volunteer service to the community.

INDIVIDUAL: THE ARTS – An individual that enhances the culture of the community through creative outlets such as but not limited to dance, fine art, museums, theater, etc.

INDIVIDUAL: HEALTH/WELLNESS – An individual who helps or contributes to the physical, psychological, or spiritual well-being of others in settings ranging from medical service to counseling to personal fitness.

INDIVIDUAL: SOCIAL/CIVIC SERVICES – A person that encourages growth in the community as a whole by acting and advocating for societal causes, such as, but not limited to, citizenship, legal affairs or animal/environmental concerns.

INDIVIDUAL: STUDENT – An elementary, middle or high school student (18 years old and under) who sets an example by acting and advocating for societal causes, such as, but not limited to, citizenship, legal affairs or animal/environmental concerns.

INDIVIDUAL: EDUCATION – A member of the community that creates an environment in pursuit of knowledge. This is not limited to a classroom setting.

INDIVIDUAL: PROFESSIONAL VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR – A paid professional employed to promote volunteerism within the nonprofit sector.

Nomination deadline is Friday, March 10, at 5 p.m.

The awards luncheon is May 4 at 11:30 a.m. at the Florida State University’s University Center Club.
