Open Call: Artist RFQ: Community Mural Program

NOW Art has curated a nationwide directory of artists dedicated to capturing and expressing the essence of communities across America. NOW Art is actively seeking artists nationwide to design unique and original mural compositions for community-focused programs. These high traffic public facing projects are in partnership with corporations. Each mural is delivered as digital compositions or scanned high res hand-painted artwork files. Approved artwork images will be printed on high quality vinyl, enlarged and adhered professionally in site specific locations.

- Artists should be skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator, ProCreate, or other software that uses a variety of brushes, filters, and effects or able to generate scanned digital files of work that are color corrected and clean to enlarge at scale.

- Artists will be required to provide a high-resolution file at a minimum of 500-720 dpi. Exact dimensions will be provided once an artist is engaged in a project. Selected works will be significantly enlarged, so attention to detail is key.

- Turnaround time per project is approximately 7-14 days, so efficiency is key.

- Photographs, abstract works, animations and work that looks like graphic design or clip art will unfortunately NOT be considered. See examples of acceptable mural style types below. The emphasis is on hand-painted and hand created works.

- Selected artists will be given direction and content to compose unique and original works.

- Selected artists will be paid per project up to $1,000 for each final design

- We will not accept any projects generated by Artificial Intelligence or have any copyright infringements with the source files or content.

- Artists should not begin creating artwork for this program until you have been selected and have received a contract from NOW Art.

- Artists will communicate/work directly with NOW Art only throughout this process.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: Artist recommendation and Artist RFQ submission does not guarantee the artist will be selected. NOW Art will review all artist RFQ submissions and select artist for each store based on program parameters, artist’s qualifications and mural style. NOW Art will solely manage all Artist Agreements. Artists must submit the RFQ in order to be considered for this program. NOW Art will contact you directly if selected.
