LeMoyne Arts is Tallahassee’s premier visual arts organization, founded in 1963. LeMoyne serves the region through its annual series of exhibitions of contemporary art, year-round art education programming and signature events including the Chain of Parks Art Festival, ranked #1 fine art festival in the country in 2017-18. About a mile from Florida State University's campus, the LeMoyne Arts property encompasses several lots in downtown Tallahassee’s historic district and includes an antebellum home converted into an art gallery and office space as well as an education building, kiln complex, and sculpture garden. For more information, visit our website.
The LeMoyne Arts Internship Program provides “real world” work and learning experiences for college students and recent graduates in the arts management, art education, marketing and graphic design, museum studies, and related areas of study. Working under the supervision of trained LeMoyne staff members, interns assist with the daily tasks, help with exhibitions and special events, education and outreach programs. Interns in our program work closely with their supervisor to develop special individually designed projects to fit the needs of the intern.
Internships are offered in the fall, spring and summer to coincide with the academic year, are limited in availability and awarded based on the candidate’s skills, abilities, interests, and dedication to the program. Interns may earn college credit and practicum experience (as arranged by the intern with the appropriate college advisor.)
