Come and be part of the3rd Annual FAMU International Food & Cultural Awareness Festival. PARTICIPATION IS FREE!

Showcase your culture, traditions, and heritage to an interested audience! Share with others what is special about your culture!

The 2016 Festival will be held on Friday, April 1st in the Tookes Recreation Center (2101Wahnish Way) from 6-9 pm.

The opportunities for participate are as follows:

• Information booths: Represent your home country/culture with an information booth – exhibit your favorite traditional costume, artwork, photographs and video of your culture.

• Food Sampling booths: Presenting authentic dishes from your country – you provide the recipe, and/or a sampling of food at your booth

•Performances: Perform traditional home country dances, songs and martial arts, i.e. anything to present your beautiful culture. Typical performances should be about five to ten minutes.

•Education on Culture – (Speaker- 3 mins) provide overview of your culture/country/food, interesting facts and figures.

•Cultural activities: oTeach people how to meet, greet, and write in your native language oTeach a traditional dance or put on traditional dress
