Del Suggs

Del Suggs is a singer/songwriter and guitarist from the beaches of North Florida. He has appeared in concert at colleges, universities and festivals across the United States and the Caribbean. Del has appeared at over 700 colleges and universities across the US. He's also performed at such prestigious venues as the World Music Festa (Shirahama, Japan), Kerrville Folk Festival (TX), Spirit Square (NC), Lyric Theatre (FL), Sarasota Opera House (FL). Del has appeared at the Florida Folk Festival every year since 1983. In 2016, "Campus Activities" magazine named Del one of the "Top Five Artists of the past 25 years," an honor recognizing his lengthy career and continuing popularity. Del is considered by many to be one of the founders and pioneers of "Trop Rock" (tropical rock) music. This popular genre is rightfully credited to Jimmy Buffett. Del began to perform in a similar style which he called "Saltwater Music," drawing on his experiences growing up along the Gulf Coast in Panama City, Florida. Del has a chapter featured in the book "Trop Rock Songs: Stories and Tales" by Andy Forsyth (2011). His songs have been covered by other trop rock artists such as John Reno ("Magic Chair," "Break in the Weather," and "Billy" co-written with Pierce Pettis), and other recording artists Carol Ann Mathews, Tammerlin, and more. Del has been a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (the Grammy Awards) since 1992, with the release of his first CD.

Ryan Sullivan uses sound to relax the mind, energize the spirit, calm the emotions and promote healing. In addition to incorporating live instruments and recorded music into his massage sessions, Ryan also performs concerts and presentations. He is familiar with a wide-range of conventional and world instruments. He specializes in traditional flutes, including Shakuhachi, Bansuri, Fujara, Native American, and Ney. He also plays such interesting instruments as the Pin Pia, Tro, ZeZe, Daf and Didgeridoo. His evolving ensemble of musicians known as "Sound..." perform "journeys of musical texture", which allow the listeners to leave their ordinary thoughts and float in a sea of singing bowls, violins, gongs, flutes and more. As a solo performer, Ryan enjoys presenting the Shakuhachi and its rich Zen tradition and repertoire. Having studied Shakuhachi in Japan, these "musical meditations" are performed in full traditional attire. He has produced two albums of traditional Shakuhachi music. Hey there! My name is Kristen Summers & I am the artist behind Bourbon & Birdies. I am excited to share my story & my art with you. I grew up in the suburbs of Miami. My mom is a science teacher & my dad is an animal-whisperer, so I naturally grew up caring about the environment around me & the critters that called it home. We often went on family field trips to the Florida Everglades where my parents would point out the different birds to me & the rangers would talk about things like "natural flow" & "urban development." The concept that humans are having a significant & detrimental impact on natural environments was therefore ingrained in me a very young age. Fast-forward a couple decades, & you've got a recent law school grad looking to change the world. I was optimistic & eager to one day pursue a career in environmental advocacy. At the time I was starting a new job & looking for some creative outlets to cope with the pressures of litigation. I had always been "artsy" & creative, but had never really dabbled much in watercolor. Through a fortunate series of events, in January 2015, I painted the first of my birds, a California quail. That's when everything started to click. I kept creating birds, honing in on the birds of my childhood, & just few months later, I launched Bourbon & Birdies. From the beginning, I wanted Bourbon & Birdies to be more than just an art business. That's why so much of what I do is focused on educating the public & supporting environmental organizations. Since I began Bourbon & Birdies, I have been able to use a portion of my profits to contribute to organizations committed to protecting the environment and caring for wildlife. This is something that I hope to develop into real partnerships with Florida-focused organizations.

Sway Jah Vu

Sway Jah Vu is Florida grown alt-reggae. With a distinct sound, Sway Jah Vu blends soul, jazz, and rock with commanding vocals and hard hitting beats. "We want to push the limits for creating new and exciting music while staying true to our mission of creating a cultural sway." Since it's inception in early 2014 the young alt-reggae band, made up of Travis Cockerham (guitar, vocals), Logan Pepper(bass), Terrell Sermon(drums, vocals), Paul Adams(keys), Eric Kennedy(saxophone), has released two studio EPs. With their sophomore release, In The Company Of Wolves, they continue to urge audiences to practice simplicity, patience and positiviity. The new EP also represents the group's maturity and willingness to tackle far-reaching, hefty topics in a 5 song release. While touring the Southeastern U.S. Sway Jah Vu is constantly evolving the way they impact their community by putting on free shows for fans, participating in benefit concerts, and volunteering with organizations like The Water Project. Chillin for Kids, and V.O.C.A.L. Animal Rescue. The Stealing Secrets EP, released May 2014, has an inspirational theme and was written mostly about evolving one's thoughts to come to a higher understanding about life, while also focusing on addiction and the struggles that it brings. "We wanted to give people hope who maybe felt like they had lost it." With every inspi-reggae song Sway Jah Vu continues to exemplify the message 'every day is a second chance'
