A24’s latest, starring Awkwafina, deals with the difference between China and America in regards to the death of our loved ones.
Debuting at the Sundance Film Festival, A24’s latest darling follows Billi (Awkwafina) who returns to China after her grandmother is diagnosed with terminal cancer. However, she quickly learns that her family has decided to keep her grandmother in the dark about the diagnosis instead of planning a last-minute wedding so they can see the grandmother one last time.
This film will be playing at the Askew Student Life Center's Main Theater on October 8th at 10:15 and October 9th at 7:30 and 10:15.

The Student Life Cinema is located in the Askew Student Life Center at 942 Learning Way, in the southwest corner of the Florida State University campus. Parking is available on the east side of Woodward Ave, and in Parking Garage #2 near the Park Ave. Diner.
