Sketchbook, Journal or Artist Book: Creating a Creative Lifestyle

Join Erica Passage at the Lafayette Arts and Crafts Center as we dive into creativity and explore new methods of drawing and mark-making on the pages of a handmade sketchbook.  During the first part of this class participants will use vintage books and watercolor paper to  make their very own hand bound sketchbook.  We will then explore new techniques of painting and drawing to create collage based playful pages that are layered with information, depth and textures. We will watch videos, have short simple readings and look look look at inspirational imagery.  You are sure to have a great time creating new lands and breaking boundaries in your art work.
