Shadow of Darkness: A New Musical

An adaptation of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, the musical follows the romantic relationship between two people living in Germany in 1942: Izaak, an up-and-coming German musician, and Eliora, a Jewish woman who is living and working illegally after the passing of the Nuremberg Laws. When a miscommunication causes Eliora and the other Jewish women in their village to be imprisoned in Sobibor concentration camp, Izaak must use his brother’s ties to the Nazi party to find her, battling with his own morals in the process.

White Mouse Productions is pleased to present two workshop performances of “Shadow of Darkness,” our original historical research musical! The performances will be held Tuesday, March 27th and Wednesday, March 28th at 8pm in the Augusta Conradi Studio Theatre (inside the Williams Building) at Florida State University. Admission is free and performances are open to the public. We are also thrilled to announce that we are holding an interactive panel discussion after each performance; Tuesday’s panel will feature discussion led by WWII historians about the importance of Holocaust education, while Wednesday’s panel will feature a discussion led by the production team about the behind-the-scenes making of the musical.
