Samba Reggae 4-week dance course

Summer Samba classes at Hip & Heart are wrapping up with something a little different – Samba Reggae! Brand new students and total beginners are welcome. Anybody can learn to dance – that’s the spirit of Samba!

If you enjoy dances based in Africa/the African diaspora or dance fitness, you will LOVE this class. Brazilian Samba has deep roots in Africa. Samba Reggae highlights these African roots to create a joyful dance that includes movements from all over the continent of Africa, set to the invigorating rhythms of the bloco afro.

This session runs July 29th through August 19th, meeting on Sundays from 3:30-4:30pm at Hip & Heart Movement Studio.

For your safety, please wear sneakers or dance footwear (jazz sneakers, ballet shoes, etc) to class (and if it’s raining, please change into shoes once you get into the studio – no wet shoes inside please). Those that are comfortable doing so may dance barefoot. Wear clothing that is comfortable for you to move (and sweat!) in.
