June Story Slam

Local writers, selected from submissions, will present short original work on the theme. The writers will also be available for a Q & A after the reading.

Colleen Mayo, an MFA student in Fiction at FSU, will be emceeing our Story Slams and helping select our writers/readers each month. Colleen has work published in The Sun Magazine, Bluestern, and serves as the online editor of The Southeast Review. She also won the 2017 FSU Creative Writing Spotlight Award. Colleen also co-hosts a podcast on writing at FSU with Sean Towey. She’s from Austin, TX, and lives in a yellow house with her husband and her cat.

Midtown Reader will not be hosting a story slam in July, so be sure to join us on June 7th for our last story slam before the break!
