On March 21, and 22 of 2024, Tallahassee Historical Society and Theater with a Mission present a Bicentennial edition of Tallahassee's first-ever Founding Tallahassee History Symposium at Mission San Luis.  The Symposium runs Thursday March 21,  12-7 pm, Friday, March 22  10am -5 pm.  The event is Free and open to all. The Founding Tallahasse Symposium at Mission San Luis begins March 21 at 12 noon with a keynote speach by Dr Lawrence Rivers, followed by two more presentations of new research about Tallahassee and Territorial Florida. Each lecture will be followed by question/answer session and a short break. Time is scheduled for a guided tour of Mission San Luis. After a break for food the Symposium continues through 8 pm with a lecture by the President of the Florida Historical Society then three Spanish Golden age farces performed by Theater with a Mission.

On Friday March 22 the Symposium runs 10 am through 5 pm ending with a panel discussion of all scholar historians sharing their expertise with each other and the audience.
