Floridiana: Family Follies

Join Nationally recognized local authors, Bucky McMahon, Barbara Hamby and Gary Yordon at the Junction at Monroe on Thursday, August 16th as they read selected works to raise money for the Literacy Volunteers of Leon County. This year the theme of the reading is Family Follies and it is sure to be another entertaining and engaging evening. In keeping with the family theme our readers will be introduced by another well-known local author, David Kirby, who happens to be married to Barbara Hamby. Actually, although not technically family members, these writers all have a long history of telling stories locally as members of Tallahassee’s vibrant writing community and might be persuaded to tell a few about one another. Join us for a good time for a good cause. Space is limited, so get your tickets early! Money raised from this even will go toward supporting Literacy Volunteers of Leon County, which has been providing free literacy language services to learners since 1984.
