Florida and the Gulf of Mexico: History, Wisdom, and Hope

Join us for a discussion of the relationship between Florida and the Gulf of Mexico with Dr. Jack E. Davis.

Dr. Davis is a professor of environmental history and sustainable studies at the University of Florida. He is the author or editor of several books on Florida, including The Gulf: The Making of an American Sea, which won the 2017 Kirkus Prize for Nonfiction.

The program begins with light refreshments in the Museum lobby at 5:30 p.m., and the presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Heritage Hall Auditorium. The History Shop and Museum galleries will remain open until 7:30 p.m., providing an ... view more »
