Double Bass Workshop

The double bass workshop is an intensive, three day workshop where students can hone their skills through solo/group playing and instruction from FSU faculty.

This specialized workshop for double bass players gives campers an opportunity to focus on skills and repertoire specific to their instrument. Campers will work alongside FSU faculty members to study solo and ensemble literature, tone production, technique development, how to practice for maximum effectiveness and how to prepare for an audition. Campers will attend master classes, bowing technique classes, and practice sessions. All campers will practice and perform in a small ensemble.

ADMISSION INFO

Registration for camp is now open. You can register online or by mailing in a registration form. Day Camper Price: $240.00 (Includes tuition only. No housing or meals.) Night Camper Price: $334.00 - (Includes tuition and housing with three meals per day). A $75.00 non-refundable deposit is due at registration. Balance of camp fees are due by June 8.

Camp check-in takes place on Wednesday, June 22 from 1:00-2:00pm. All campers must attend camp check-in, including day campers. Starting Thursday, June 23, all campers attend classes from 8am-5pm daily. Day campers are done with required classes at 5pm but may participate in evening recreation activities with the overnight campers if they wish to do so. Camp will conclude with a performance on Saturday, July 25 at 10:30am.
