19th Annual Florida African Dance Festival

Journey into Africa with the 19th Annual Florida African Dance June 9 – 11 at theTallahassee Community College.  FADF is 3-day conference that features internationally renowned artists in dance and drum workshops and an exciting performance concert.  Other highlights include special dance workshops for children, vendor marketplace, hair fashion extravaganza and health focus.  For more information, log onto fadf.org or call 850-539-4087.

ADMISSION INFO

Dance and Drum Workshops, $10.00 On-Site Registration at Tallahassee Community College; Friday, June 10 & Saturday, June 11, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Concert Tickets can be purchased at TCC as well.)

Performance Concert, $10.00 Box Office Opens on Saturday, June 11, 6:30 p.m. at Lee Hall Auditorium on the campus of Florida A&M University; Also tickets can be purchased at the following locations during store hours:  Au Peche Mignon, G&G Restaurant, Naturally U Braiding Studio, NISUB International, Soul Vegetarian and the The Cake Shop.

FREE Activities:  Vendor Marketplace, Children’s Dance Workshops, Hair Fashion Extravaganza, Line Dance Class, Wheelchair African Dance Class, African Fashion Show, Children’s Story Hour, Health Forum, Health Screenings, Welcoming Reception andPost-Concert Reception.

The highligt of the Florida African Dance Festival weekend is the Performance Concert which will be presented Saturday, June 11, 8:15 p.m. at Lee Hall Auditorium on the campus of Florida A&M University.  Box Office will open at 6:30 p.m.  ALL tickets are $10.00.  Tickets can also be purchased at the following Tallahassee retailers during store hours:  Au Peche Mignon, G&G Restaurant, Naturally U Braiding Studio, NISUB International, Soul Vegetarian and The Cake Shop.  For more information, log onto fadf.org or call 850-539-4087.
