INVITATION

FSU’s Art Education teacher certification program is offering a FREE arts enrichment opportunity for middle school students that will begin the week of Feb. 13th, 2022.

6th-8th grade students will work with an FSU art education mentor to carry out an 8-week unit. Groups are capped at 3 students per mentor.

*All materials required to complete the curriculum will be provided.*

Students will used mixed media in this year's theme How to think like at artist, as they learn about issues that impact their community and explore them through contemporary art making.

  • Sessions are held weekly via Zoom.
  • Sign up is first come, first serve, and 21 spots are available. 
  • Sessions are open to 6th - 8th grade students who are enthusiastic about making art!
  • Students will need a remote learning set-up to participate. This includes a device that has a camera, Zoom access, and the ability to connect to the Internet.
  • Students should be able to commit to attending all mentoring sessions, barring unforeseen absences!
