Graphic Design Specialist

The School of Theatre at Florida State University invites applications for a Graphic Design Specialist. Responsibilities include designing original graphics, brochures, flyers, advertisements, banners, recruitment materials, and promotional items for the School of Theatre.

Utilize a variety of equipment and software to design, create, and alter media images. Use advanced knowledge of design principles to select typefaces, layouts, and other related aesthetics in publications and materials.

Create media including videos for use in multiple formats including print, electronic, and social media.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years’ experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post-high school education and experience equal to six years).

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Knowledge of artistic and graphic layout techniques and art in a digital format. Skill in analyzing and determining the more appropriate media for creation of graphic images. A valid Florida or Georgia driver’s license or the ability to obtain one.

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Knowledge of HTML and CSS coding for website design. Knowledge of the use of Adobe Creative Suite applications.
