Funding Available for USA Published Writers to Encourage the Production of Writing Project Related to Sculpture

Grant for Writing on Sculpture

Grant of up to $20,000 is available for a USA published writer to encourage the production of a writing project related to the topic of sculpture. Funding is intended to support a writer who demonstrates a fresh approach to the aesthetics, purposes, history, imagination, or situation of sculpture.

The application deadline is May 31st, 2024.

Grant Eligibility:

• Supported categories of writing include essays and books.
  • Essays: magazine essays, catalogue essays, book essays
  • Books: research or manuscripts currently in process or nearing completion.
• Types of writing that are supported include art criticism, art history, memoir, psychoanalytical study, philosophical meditation and literary study.
• The grant recipient is expected to complete the project within one year of receiving the award.
