Funding Available for USA Educational Institutions and Nonprofits for Foreign Language Educational Materials

Grants of up to $1,000 to USA educational institutions and nonprofit organizations for foreign language educational materials. Applicants must contact the funding source prior to submitting an application. Grant funds may be used for the purchase of teaching materials and cultural items for Japanese-language courses.

The application deadline is September 15th, 2024.

Grant Eligibility:

• The eligible items for support are Japanese-language teaching materials (textbooks, audiovisual materials, dictionaries, digital learning software, teachers’ reference books, etc.) as well as cultural items (origami supplies, calligraphy sets, etc
• Applicants must be non-profit institutions/organizations involved in Japanese-language education in the U.S.
• Applicants must have a bank account in the institution’s name capable of accepting grants from the Japan Foundation. A bank account may also be opened before the grant payment.
