Grant funding often goes to the most coherent, compelling, and inspiring applications. To be a grant winner, learn how to write artist’s statements and project descriptions that capture your power and passion. Create budgets without fear, secure that you know how to tell your story with numbers as well as words. Angela Richardson, Senior Trainer, with The Grantsmanship Center, will be your guide, empowering you with tools to help your creativity soar.

About the speaker:

Angela Richardson is an internationally experienced nonprofit leader with expertise in successful program development, fund development strategic planning, and organizational coaching. She has held leadership positions at community-based organizations and at Brown University and has worked with nonprofit organizations, school districts, faith-based organizations, and colleges and universities across the United States and in Mexico and Brazil. Her particular area of interest is organizational development and strategic planning with culturally specific organizations.

Ms. Richardson is a trainer for The Grantsmanship Center as well as principal consultant at her Los Angeles-based comprehensive consulting practice, which offers fund development, organizational mentoring, strategic planning, program planning, conflict resolution, and leadership development services to the nonprofit community. She has reviewed proposals for the U.S. Department of Education and for local arts commissions in Los Angeles and Rhode Island. Ms. Richardson holds a Master’s Degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Spelman College.
