"BREWtiful Designs" Call for Entries
Call for Visual Artists - DEADLINE :
BREWtiful Designs is an exciting can-art label competition, judged by PROOF Brewing Co., during the Focused Moments exhibit. The winning can-artwork will be featured on a custom pilsner beer by PROOF!
KEY NOTES:
1.) Participants must be at least 18 years or older, unless part of a group with an adult supervisor.
2.) Please note all submissions must be in a plain black, silver, gold, or gunmetal frame with a white or black matte. The frame must be in good condition, clean, and ready to hang (wire preferred). ACCEPTED FRAME SIZES = 6x8, 5x10, 8x10, 10x12 and 11x14.
3.) We encourage artists to include the original artwork & the design on the PROOF template within the same frame to show the original artwork + how it will look on a can.
4.) If you would like your design to be for sale, you are welcome to add a price, but it is not required. If not for sale, please write in "NFS". LeMoyne’s Consignment arrangement is a 60/40 split; the artist receives 60% of the sales price & LeMoyne receives 40%.
5.) All artwork submitted must be new or not shown, within the last 5 years, in other local or regional galleries.
6.) All work displayed MUST be original work by the artist or group collaboration LeMoyne Arts reserves the right to reject work that does not meet the vision & goals of this project. Trademarked or copyrighted images will not be accepted! (i.e.; college logos, Disney characters, etc.)
7.) By applying, all accepted applicants understand that LeMoyne Arts has permission to use submitted images for promotional purposes.
8.) Accepted artists are encouraged to provide a bio/artist statement, (100 words or less) & a 5X7 high-resolution photo.DESIGN DIRECTIONS:
1.) In the template provided the Proof logo, warning and other information are to be left as they are. Do not alter size and placement. 2.) The Proof logo can be manipulated or recreated in other media as long as kept legible.
3.) This will be a pilsner beer called “Life is BREWtiful”. You may include this title in your design, or leave it out and know that Proof will layer it on top of your artwork (if selected).
4.) Vector or High-Resolution PDF/AI/EPS File. Other formats such as PSD/TIFF/PNG/JPG may be used.
5.) Minimum Image Resolution of 300ppi (when non vector)
6.) CMYK Process Colors. Files provided in RGB will be converted to CMYK which may result in unexpected color shifts.
7.) We strongly recommend ensuring your artwork meets these minimum sizes for best results: -Text size is at least 5pt. -Line/Stroke weights are at least 0.25pt (0.5pt if reversed). -Metallic colors/effects can be used, but lighter colors generally work better than darks when printed.
