Asst. Stage Manager Needed for Cascades Park Shakespeare Production

Southern Shakespeare seeks volunteers for the Bardlings’ downtown Tallahassee, FL production of The Tempest in the following role:
- Assistant Stage Manager (1) to assist our professional stage manager with backstage management, including the run crew’s execution of props, costume, and set changes; actor and team sign in upon arrival; scripts and run sheet creation and maintenance; as well as prepartion of or clean-up after rehearsals and performances.
This role will have the opportunity to shadow the professional stage manager, learning how to anticipate and manage the needs of a working rehearsal and/or performance and gaining experience with the backstage rhythms and teamwork at a unique theatrical event.
The time commitment for theses roles begins no sooner than April 29 and will be ~24 hours total, including:
- Rehearsals: in the early evenings at SAIL High School.
- Monday, April 29
- Thursday, May 2
- Monday, May 6
- Tech rehearsals on-site and outdoors at Cascades Park’s Adderley Amphitheatre.
- Tuesday, May 7
- Wednesday, May 8
- Saturday, May 11 (the morning prior to performance #1, below)
- Two one-hour performances at 5:30 PM (plus pre- and post-show organization, clean-up) outdoors at the Adderley Amphitheater
- Saturday, May 11
- Sunday, May 12
