621 Gallery is preparing for our 29th annual art auction, set for November 3 - 17th. This auction is one of two major fundraisers held by 621 Gallery to raise funds for rent, programming, and staff pay. This years goal is to raise $15,000. This auction is the perfect opportunity for the community to buy local goods for the upcoming holiday season or for their personal collections. This is a great opportunity for local artists to showcase their works and be apart of something larger than themselves. 621 Gallery is nothing without community, and we thank you for your ongoing support, so that we may continue providing a safe space for community and art to come together. We accept work of all types including but not limited to sculptures, prints, and paintings. GFWC Woman's Club of Tallahassee is holding their annual Holiday Happening November 3 and 4th, 2023, at the Woman's Clubhouse, 1513 Cristobal Drive. The event includes an array of artists, crafters and vendors, a country store, food and bake sale, both inside and outside the clubhouse. A food truck will be on the property during the event. Applications are still being accepted for the event, noting inside space is limited but outside space is available both on the front porch or in the front yard under the big oak tree or on the side patio. This event supports the GFWC Woman's club of Tallahassee, a non-profit organization, which in turn supports numerous community projects within the Tallahassee area. Don't miss out; apply by October 15th for our December 9th market! Visit tinyURL.com/TPMArtistApp or go to our website (tallahasseepottery.wixsite.com/tlhpotterymarket) and select the Artist Application tab. Please review the market details blow before applying to be an artist. Where: TPM will take place at the United Church of Tallahassee (1834 Mahan Dr), which is indoors/covered and right next to Tallahassee Clay Arts. When: TPM will be Saturday 12/9/23 from 9am to 4pm ET. Vendor set up will be available on Friday 12/8/23 after 3pm (exact time pending); vendors are expected to be fully setup before the market begins. Vendors should not break down before the market ends. Vendors should be fully broken down by 6pm. How: Please complete your application on or before 10/15/23. You will be notified of your acceptance no later than 10/22/23. Vendor fees ($25 per 6 foot table; $50 per 10 foot by 10 foot booth) are due no later than 10/31/23. There will be no refunds. The Wiregrass Artist Co-Operative, 130 E. Jackson Street, is next to the Thomasville Tourism Center and the Municipal Auditorium in downtown Thomasville, GA, is inviting “3D” artists such as ceramics, sculpture, weaving, carving and other multimedia works to apply for membership in the gallery. Artist members of the Co-Operative have the opportunity to show their work in a retail gallery setting that has been in business in downtown Thomasville, GA for 12 years. Artist members may also use the gallery to hold classes and demonstrations, and participate in downtown Thomasville events such as Victorian Christmas, annual Rose and Wildlife festivals and sidewalk sales. Thomasville has been included in three national magazines as one of ten "Best Small Towns in America", and in numerous regional magazines and blogs as "My Favorite Town to Visit".The Thomasville Tourism Center recently was awarded "Georgia's Best Mainstreet". As an exciting feature of the opening of our 60th annual Holiday Show on Saturday, November 18, 9AM-6PM, we are creating a Holiday Garden Galleria.
