We are always open to new ideas, and we invite you to submit yours through our short online form. We’ll review each one and be in touch within 45 days if we are interested in learning more. Before submitting your idea, we suggest you familiarize yourself with our seven program areas focused on challenging inequality.
The Ford Foundation is always open to new ideas, and we welcome your input. Please keep in mind that in relation to the large number of worthwhile submissions we receive, our funds are limited: In a typical year, less than one percent of unsolicited grant ideas result in funding.
We ask that you please submit ideas through this form, and refrain from contacting program officers directly. If we are interested in learning more about your idea, you will hear from us within 45 days.

Hello,
We are submitting our Many Rooms program for your consideration as application to Ford Foundation Rolling Admissions funding opportunity.
Many Rooms Interactive Mural Series
We are launching a program that uses technology and the arts to amplify the stories of those left out of our social discourse. It does this by celebrating the work of organizations that include and advocate for the disenfranchised in our community, day in and day out (For example, Refuge House, our local domestic violence shelter or Mercy House serving ex-offenders or Home Front, housing homeless vets.)
The deliverables include:
1.) A series of wall murals located in high-foot-traffic areas of town, showcasing the organizations and their clients. These paintings include 3D elements that invite photo ops and active compositions with structural elements, likenesses and a QR code that takes mobile device users to the online, interactive version of the mural.
2.) In the online version, visitors access clients’ short multimedia narratives and experience these individuals’ successes, personal milestones, challenges, and aspirations.
Underserved youth assist with the painting of the mural and learn marketable skills as they help with the production of the project's digital media components.
