Sumi-e Baby Turtle by Ann Kozeliski
Sumi-e is the Japanese word for Black Ink Painting. Emphasis is placed on the beauty of each individual stroke of the brush.
Spirit and individuality are at the heart of Sumi-e painting. Making each stroke the most beautiful. It is an immediate style of art. The idea is to not make a preliminary sketch, but to create a beautiful scene from your memory and paint the emotion of it using the Sumi-e language. Sumi-e helps the artist remember and then convey beautiful things so that they may be shared with others. All supplies included.
This one-day class will be taught by artist Ann Kozeliski.
