Basic Genealogy - How To Get Started

Did you make a New Year’s Resolution to start researching your Family History? Perhaps you have already begun researching your ancestors and you want to find some free resources, or you need tips on getting organized?  This month the Tallahassee Genealogical Society is hosting a session for anyone who has started, or is thinking of starting, to research their family history. Beginners and experienced researchers are all welcome.

This session is free and open to the public and will provide guidance on: How to get organized; Setting your research goal(s); Identifying what you know, and what you don’t know; and How and where to start looking for your ancestors.
