SCIturdays: Oct. 9, Nov. 13, & Dec. 11 at Challenger Learning Center
Join us on Saturday, September 25th for a hands-on, family-friendly workshop featuring a STEAM topic: science, technology, engineering, art and/or mathematics.
October 9th "My Colorful World" Age-appropriate activities may include: Learn about why leaves change color and discover different pigments, and make leaf slime.
November 13th "Telescope Time" Age-appropriate activities may include: Build a model of a space telescope and analyze the special mirrors on the Webb Telescope, learn about nebulas, and create nebula spin art.
December 11th "Its For The Birds" Age-appropriate activities may include: Make a pinecone birdfeeder and a birdseed collage,
The cost is $6 per person per program. ALL participants pay the admission fee (children and adults). SCIturday participants must be signed out before 12:15 p.m. to avoid a $1/minute late charge. Cost includes all materials. Second SCIturday programs are recommended for ages 10 & under and participants ages 6 & under require a paid accompanying adult. Fourth SCIturday programs are recommended for ages 9 to 99 and participants ages 8 & under require a paid accompanying adult.
The registration form must be completed and submitted before 12:00 p.m. the day before the program. Registration is complete and confirmed on receipt of completed registration form and full payment. Programs are limited in size; therefore, registrations will be processed on a first-come, first serve basis..
