“Petals and Wings” paintings by Ann Hempel open at Jefferson Arts Gallery Saturday March 9 with a reception from noon until 4 PM. Ann Hempel’s “Petals and Wings” acrylic on wood panel paintings are full of the fresh, vibrant colors of spring. Her impasto brings the flowers and feathers to life. Her paintings sing the praises of the newly awakened plant life and birds who rejoice in the colorful vegetation.
