Moon Over Maclay

Be part of a lovely evening as a full moon rises over Lake Hall! The Friends of Maclay Gardens are pleased to present the 11th Annual Moon Over Maclay jazz concert at Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park. This year’s concert will take place on October 9th from 6:00-9:00pm. Gates open at 5:00pm. Music lovers should bring a blanket/lawn chairs, picnic supper, and beverages of your choice. This year’s headliner is Scotty Barnhart, an acclaimed jazz trumpeter and director of the Grammy-winning Count Bassie Orchestra. He will be joined by a group of talented musicians. Lively local favorites Thursday Night Music Club will be opening the show. Choose your place on the lawn of the Maclay house, relax under the moonlight, and enjoy great music!
Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students with ID. Advance purchase of tickets is encouraged by visiting www.friendsofmaclaygardens.org/moon-over-maclay/. Concert Specials
The Friends are excited to welcome two beverage sponsors to this year’s event. Growler Country and The Wine House are offering special discounts to Moon Over Maclay Tickets holders at their respective locations. On Sunday, October 9th Growler Country will fill Growlers or Crowlers at a reduced rate with proof of ticket purchase. The special rate is $7.76 for the 32 oz Crowler and $11.76 for the 64 oz Growler. You can fill up all day Sunday in preparation for the event that evening. Growler Country is located at 3305 Capital Circle NE.
 Between now and October 8th, you can bring proof of ticket purchase into The Wine House to receive a special discount on wine purchases. Stock up on your favorite bottles to bring to the show! The Wine House is located at 1355 Market Street. NEW for this year, The Wine House will be at Moon Over Maclay on October 9th, selling a hand selected offering of bottled wines to concert goers with proper ID. Cash is preferred for wine purchases made at the show.
