FLAUNT2022: Let's Play!

FLAUNT2022: Let’s Play! FLAUNT 2022: Let’s Play! features a 6-week public art installation (March 3 –April 14) in downtown Thomasville, with boundless opportunities for play, larger-than-life Monopoly-inspired art and design, and will ultimately inspire you to dream big, take chances, and spark your creativity in order to find your happy place. In addition to the public art installation, Thomasville Center for the Arts will introduce THOMOPOLY, our version of Monopoly, that focuses on the creative entrepreneurs, innovators and change-makers in our historic downtown and Creative District. THOMOPOLY encourages “playing together.” The Monopoly-inspired installations for FLAUNT2022 will be filled with an unexpected artistic twist on the original board game, and participating artists must be selected by jury – with limited space (10 per installation). This 6-week-long public art exhibition stirs the undeniable curiosity of “what’s inside of the game,” and shifts the perspective of a traditional board game idea. While driving local and regional interest in our downtown, and positioning Thomasville as a creative community that attracts visionaries, thinkers and makers, Thomasville continues to lead the region in public art.
