In the final weeks of the show’s run, we will focus on reckoning by taking stock of where local education stands today, and asking the question: Have the initial goals of school desegregation been met?
Join us in conversation with Leon County School Board Chair, Darryl Jones to discuss the current state of public education in Leon County and enliven the discussion with your questions and ideas.
Known as “Mr. Tallahassee”, Darryl Jones has risen to prominence in the Capital City due to the tireless work he has done in and around the city and the passion he has for his community. In November 2018, Darryl was elected to the Leon County School Board, representing District 3, which includes all schools and students in Southern Leon County.
This event promises to open your eyes to the current landscape of education in Leon County and provide an opportunity to respectfully engage with and bring awareness to the critical crossroads facing the state of education today.
