Angela Massey, flute and Caroline Owen, piano, Valentine Concert

We invite you to attend the fourth concert of the 2023-2024 Concert Series for The Artist Series of Tallahassee, featuring Angela Massey, flute and Caroline Owen, piano, at St. Peter\\\’s Anglican Cathedral, Friday, February 9, 7 pm, St. Peter\\\’s Anglican Cathedral. This concert is a special Valentine Fundraiser for The Artist Series. It is included in your Season Passport, but we hope you\\\’ll make a donation of any amount, as well. Tickets are available at the door and online on our website, www.theartistseries.org! This concert will not be livestreamed, so we hope to see you there, in person! Bring your favorite Valentine to hear  this magnificent duo! There will be a Meet the Artist Chat directly following the concert and a reception honoring our Donors with hors d\\\’ouevres and wine. Award-winning musicians Angela Massey, flute and Caroline Owen, piano, present Romanza sharing love stories in classical music. The concert features Reinecke\\\’s magnificent sonata based on the story of Undine, also known as The Little Mermaid.

Angela Massey has been a featured guest artist with the Tryon Concert Association, Kosciuszko Foundation in NYC, and has performed in France, Germany, Italy, Romania, and Switzerland. She holds flute positions with the Southwest Florida Symphony and Venice Symphony. Angela serves as Artistic Director and founder of the Astralis Chamber Ensemble, arranging and performing numerous recitals each year.

Caroline Owen has performed in venues across the U.S. and in Austria, Italy, and the Czech Republic. She was the winner of the 2019 Florida MTNA Young Artist Competition and a semifinalist in the 14th International Mozart Competition and 2016 International Keyboard Odyssiad. She completed her doctorate at Florida State University and received a scholarship to study at the Mozarteum Summer Academy in Salzburg, Austria.
