Sunday, March 10, 2024 marks the 96th Academy Awards ceremony in Hollywood and the 17th year of the FSU College of Motion Picture Arts Fundraiser – “A Night at the Oscars”. A tradition since 2008, FSUFILM offers a night of entertainment, surprises and recognizing the art and craft of filmmaking. And who better to throw an Oscar party in Tallahassee than us, the best film program in the country?!

All proceeds raised from this event go directly to the support of our students and programs.

Know that your dollars are contributing to one of the most highly regarded film schools in the U.S., while you spend the evening rooting for your favorite nominees alongside our accomplished faculty who have worked on some of cinema’s most recognized and beloved films. Meet our talented student filmmakers who with the support of your donations, will be the Oscar nominees and winners of tomorrow joining the ranks of Barry Jenkins & Adele Romaski (Moonlight), Allison Rose Carter (Everything, Everywhere, All at Once), Jonathan King (Roma, Green Book), Stephen Broussard (Dr. Strange), Oualid Mounaess (1982), to name a few.

Guests enjoy delicious catered appetizers, a full bar, and the opportunity to bid on a touch of Hollywood with our ever popular silent auction filled with movie memorabilia. “The Main Stage” offers reserved seating in an elegant dinner table setting, reminiscent of the first award ceremonies in the historic Roosevelt Hotel ballroom. “The Stage B Lounge” offers a low key, unreserved seat setting to hang out while grabbing your selfie in front of our step & repeat. The awards ceremony will be projected in all areas.

Non-reserved general seating will be on sale at the door the night of the event with credit or debit cards only.
