Join us at Mission San Luis for a FREE CONCERT by Taller Balancé Bomba Afro-Boricua who will present bomba, a style of music and dance that emerged in Puerto Rico from West African, Taíno and Spanish cultural roots.
Taller Balancé will share the fundamentals of bomba as well as the cultural and historical significance of the style. Participation is encouraged!
Taller Balancé is featured as part of the 2019 Folklife Artist-in-Residence Program sponsored by the Florida Folklife Program and the Florida State University Center for Music of the Americas.
