From the Cedar Chest: Southern Quilting, 1830s to Today is an exploration of the rich tradition of quilting in our region.
The From the Cedar Chest: Southern Quilting 1830s to Today exhibition will be on view September 14 – December 14, 2019 at Gadsden Arts, presenting quilts that were made in our region over two centuries. The exhibition tells the stories of a beloved art form that was utilitarian, cultural, and social, bridging the gaps between generations and finding commonalities among cultures. From the Cedar Chest is made possible by lenders from 18 private and four public collections.
