The Crooked River Lighthouse is hosting another Holiday Country Market on Saturday, December 19 from 9:00 am-1:00 pm. With the holiday season here, it’s the perfect time to enjoy the seasonal market from at Lighthouse Park, 1975 Hwy 98 West, Carrabelle, FL. The market, at the foot of the lighthouse, features vendors from the community with perfect holiday gifts like gorgeous art and photography, ornaments, handcrafted soaps, craft items, handmade goods, fresh roasted coffee, delicious baked goods, exotic starter plants, plus unique maritime items inside.
While guests are browsing, they can munch on hot dogs, sausage dogs, or boiled peanuts from the delicious Dave’s Dawg House hot dog stand. At 1:00 pm, local herbalist, Denise Williams will take visitors for a guided medicinal plant walk. Denise will lead guests for this 30 minute walk around the grounds of lighthouse and explore its natural resources. The walk costs $5 and accepts a max of 10 people.
Guests can also visit the free Museum and browse inside the Lighthouse Gift Shop for unique nautical and holiday gifts. In addition, shoppers have the unique opportunity to climb to the top of the lighthouse for a breathtaking view of the Bay.
The Market is actively recruiting new and returning vendors. Vendors may sign up at any time. There is no cost to be a vendor at the December market. Starting in January, the cost for vendors will be $10 a market. The Country Market is held every first and third Saturday from 9 am-1 pm (though vendors are welcome to stay later).
