Get ready to rock the stage! Dive into the world of Broadway’s best pop and rock musicals, and unleash your inner Broadway rockstar.
Welcome to Making Light's BROADWAY ROCKS - A SHOWCASE OF JUKEBOX MUSICALS a two-week musical theatre summer camp that promises an unforgettable experience for aspiring young performers aged 8 and up! From June 17-28, immerse yourself in the world of iconic pop musicals as we bring to life the magic of Mamma Mia, Moulin Rouge, & Juliet, All Shook Up, Jersey Boys, Rock of Ages, and Good Vibrations, to name a few.
Campers who join the cast of BROADWAY ROCKS will rehearse every afternoon (12:30 - 5:30) 17-28 (two-week commitment required) to produce a musical showcase inspired by some of Broadway’s more modern shows, featuring pop music we know and love. Those who would like to spend the whole day at camp can register for our morning (8:45 - 12:30) film camp, LET'S MAKE TV COMMERCIALS!
Get ready to sing, dance, and act alongside fellow theatre enthusiasts, guided by seasoned instructors with a passion for the stage. Throughout the camp, participants will engage in dynamic workshops and rehearsals, honing their skills in vocal performance, choreography, and dramatic interpretation. Campers will experience the thrill of embodying characters from some of Broadway's most beloved productions, creating cherished memories and lifelong friendships.
The culmination of two weeks of hard work and creativity will be showcased in a spectacular performance on Friday, June 28, at the on-site Making Light Theatre. Family and friends are invited to witness the magic on display as our talented campers take the stage and bring the energy and excitement of these jukebox musicals to life. Don't miss the chance to be part of this musical journey that will leave everyone tapping their toes and singing along.
