Are you ready for your close-up?!  Have you practiced your blood-curdling scream? Your ghostly moan? Your most terrified face??! Making Light is zooming in on [FUN, AGE APPROPRIATE] HORROR FILMMAKING at this summer camp – from first read-through, through shooting and editing the film, to the final red carpet premiere! Our aspiring Oscar winners will learn about the history of filmmaking, acting for the camera, and even the practical side of editing their own films made at home. The camper/filmmakers in “Let’s Make a Horror Movie” camp meet each weekday morning 8:45-12:30 June 3-13 to plan and execute their horror film projects. Campers will be divided into groups of cast/crews to make a short film together from first read through to final edit. They will work on acting, props, costumes, sets, filming and editing! On Friday, June 14, we will hold a mini film premiere in the Making Light Theatre and screen our movie! Campers who wish to spend the whole day with us can also sign up for the afternoon STAGE FRIGHT horror-themed musical theatre camp!
