Our organizations represent the nonprofit sector with a unified voice and we believe in engaging with our local leaders when addressing the growing needs of our community. Nonprofits are, and have always been, essential to every community's financial health. Tallahassee-Leon County is no different. When addressing hard issues in our community like poverty to focusing on job creation and attracting new businesses, plans should include collaboration with the nonprofit community.
Our community needs leaders who do not clutch to the antiquated notion that businesses drive the economy while charities do good deeds. This forum will give UPHS, INIE and COCA Members, as well as, the general public the opportunity to engage specifically on policy and structural changes essential for collective impact in meeting the needs of each of our neighbors, while engaging candidates and their platform.
