BEFORE GETTING STARTED

Need assistance in posting an event, classified, artist profile, or something else? COCA’s updated “How to” PDF Guide provides a step-by-step guide in uploading your information onto our Tallahassee Arts Guide! (Updated: November 2023)

Need a video walkthrough? Watch our “How to” videos here!

FOR ALL USERS: Any registered user (individuals and/or organizations) can submit information.

PLEASE NOTE: If you need to access an existing organization or artist profile, contact samantha@tallahasseearts.org so we can associate your user account with those listings.

POSTING EVENTS

An EVENT is a performance, workshop, class, meeting, etc. for the general public to attend. It must have an arts-related component to be included (music, literature, history, culture, etc.). Plus!

FOR ONLINE EVENTS ONLY: If you are submitting an online/virtual or streaming event, please continue to select your USUAL primary discipline as the Primary Category and THEN select “Online/Streaming” from the Additional Category listing.

For the VENUE, please select the “Online/Virtual Space” option from the Registered Venue drop menu. This will bypass the need for a physical street address.

POSTING CLASSIFIEDS

CLASSIFIED is used to promote professional development, auditions, jobs, internships, calls for artists, for rent or sale, masterclasses, etc. Please do NOT use our events calendar when posting these types of listings. Classifieds listings are free. 🙂

COCA will include CLASSIFIEDS in our Thursday “COCA Classifieds” emails. Content for the email will be pulled from your user-submitted “classified” listings. Listings also appear online in the “classified” directory. Classified listings should be of interest to the “arts and cultural” community. For example, a marketing workshop that artists might attend to build their skills could be listed under Professional Development.

POSTING AN ARTIST PROFILE

ARTISTS: You can manage your artist profile and related photos, videos, audio, and PDF documents by selecting the tabs under the “Artist Profile” section on the left column of this page. To return to your dashboard at any time while browsing our website, click “My Account” in the upper right corner.

Please Note: This is a listing of local artists who are 18 years of age or older and reside in Tallahassee and/or the Big Bend Region (within a 100-mile radius of Tallahassee). Any artists fitting these criteria are invited to submit their profile for inclusion in this directory for FREE. If this is your first time submitting an artist profile it will require approval by our site administrator prior to releasing it to the public.

POSTING AN ORGANIZATION PROFILE

ORGANIZATIONS: You can manage your organization profile and related photos, videos, and audio by selecting the tabs under the “Organization” section on the left column of this page. To return to your dashboard at any time while browsing our website, click “My Account” in the upper right corner. If this is your first time submitting an event, you will need to first create an organization profile.

If your organization also represents a venue space, you may also wish to complete the “Venue” section of this dashboard.

ABOUT POSTING IMAGES

If you are posting images they must be in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format, a minimum of 400×400 pixels and should not exceed 1.5 mb. If you need help editing your images or creating simple graphics, a helpful site that we like is www.canva.com. Any text/logos on the graphic should make up no more than 20% of the image.

If you need assistance, please contact Samantha Sumler, COCA’s Marketing & Communications Manager: samantha@tallahasseearts.org. We are happy to help over a call or schedule a 1-on-1 Zoom call to help walk through the steps!
