Midtown Reader

Midtown Reader

Midtown Reader is a new general subject independent bookstore located in Tallahassee, Florida, Florida’s state capital.  We are the only independent general-subject bookstore in Tallahassee and are proud to have recently been named a New York Times reporting store.  We’ve hosted multiple events and average around 35 attendees per event (about 80 can safely fit in the store) but have hosted as many as 110 in conjunction with a reading series in partnership with the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper.  For winter/spring 2017 we have hosted Alan Williams and Ann Kimbrough, Meg Baldwin and Roxane Hughes, Molly Brodak, Nick Mainieri, Will Schwalbe, Colleen Oakley, Skip Horack, and Michael Knight, as well as a weekly Kidtown Reader series on Saturdays.  We serve refreshments (coffee/soda/wine depending on the occasion, and always snacks or hors d’oeuvres) at all our readings and all ages are welcome!
