COCA uses a citizen review panel process, like both the State and NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) grant programs, to make recommendations for funding. Panels are composed of non-profit businesspeople, tourism professionals, community leaders, artists, educators, experts in cultural disciplines and others as deemed appropriate for review criteria. COCA accepts nominations for panelists year-round by COCA.
