Founded in 1981, Javacya Arts Conservatory (JAC) is a college preparatory institute for ages 3 to 18. A leading advocate for diversity and inclusion in the performing arts in the States and abroad, JAC consistently provides life developing opportunities through formal training and discipline through music.

“We provide quality music education supported by ticket sales, grants, individual donors, and supplemented by net income from individual and group music instruction.”

For nearly four decades, the Javacya Arts Conservatory (JAC), a music institute, has provided state-of-the-art training and experiences in music education and orchestral performance. Internationally renowned faculty such as Eliot Chapo, (former concertmaster/New York Philharmonic) Cellist Mark Chambers (York University), Richard Karl (Miami Philharmonic) Moises Molina (University of Alabama) have been a part of the fabric that has produced Grammy-nominated artists like violinist/composer Ashanti Floyd (The Mad Violinist),  Joshua Henderson (NYU/Warp Trio), and others. Javacya’s collaboration with the Royal Conservatory of Music has been essential in building its strong foundation. The Conservatory continues to create a clear platform for the best and brightest to perform a broad spectrum of classical music.

The Tallahassee-based institution is a consultant for public school districts, private schools, and small campus orchestra programs where responsibilities include private teaching, master classes, student career development, teacher training, and fostering long-lasting community partnerships. Additionally, Javacya is an American examination center for the renowned Toronto-based Royal Conservatory of Music. Like the Royal Conservatory, Javacya endeavors to develop talent and provide a platform that unifies the cultural ethnicity of this world.

Javacya’s faculty of performing artists, educators, annual guest master-class clinicians, and artist-in-residence, each share a deep commitment to developing supportive, mentoring relationships with their students. During summer months, Javacya students study in Europe. attend the Sphinx Performance Academy, Interlochen Summer Institute, Luzerne Music Center, Four Strings Academy, Javacya Summer Institute, and others. Thereby, further equipping them with a global perspective of the arts and culture and their potential careers around the world.
