The mission of the Tallahassee Youth Orchestras is to enrich the musical and creative lives of young musicians through high-quality instruction and unique performance opportunities.

The TYO offers four orchestral ensembles and a variety of chamber ensembles for music students of all levels and ages. These Ensembles rehearse weekly on Sunday afternoons and present four Concerts a year as well as additional performances within the community.  In addition to ensemble training, students receive specialized coaching for their instrument or instrument family.

The TYO ensemble directors and coaches are experienced instructors and musicians including Florida State University College of Music faculty, members of the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, and local school music directors.

The TYO further expands these ensemble opportunities to low-income families through tuition discounts and a need-based Scholarship Program.
