Winter Day Camps: Dec. 20, 21, 22, & 23

December 20, 2021: Robot Revolution
Build, code, program, engineer and compete in robotic challenges with Sphero, LEGO, Ozobot, Bee-Bot, Blue-Bot and more. Learn how to code the robots, then get creative and problem-solve various challenges. K-5th grade appropriate activities will vary.
December 21, 2021: Winter Wonderland
Celebrate the Winter Solstice (1st day of winter) with astronomical and winter activities! K-5th grade appropriate activities may include: designing your own snowflakes, making edible snowmen, creating snow, building a blizzard, and more.
December 22, 2021: For the Love of LEGOs
Piece together a day of fun and learning with everyone’s favorite building tool and explore LEGO robotic activities during this exciting day. K-5th grade appropriate activities may include: WeDo and NXT LEGO robotic builds and stories, building a LEGO volcano, make edible LEGOs, and more.
December 23, 2021: Engineering is Elementary
Using math and science, engineers bring inventions and innovations into our lives every day, campers will explore those inventions and the engineering design process. K-5th grade appropriate activities may include: build and test different bridge types and paper boats, test electrical currents and design with SNAP Circuits, build and test parachutes including da Vinci’s designs, and more.

Our STEAM-themed camps feature hands-on activities led by experienced educators.

Admission Info

At the Challenger Learning Center, campers are guaranteed focused attention with a ratio of at least one educator for every eight children.

If a camp is marked *FULL* and you would like your camper to be added to the waiting list, please select the camp. You will be notified if and when a space becomes available. You will be asked for payment at that time.

PUBLIC PARKING

The Kleman Parking Garage is the closest public parking garage to the Challenger Learning Center (CLC). It is adjacent to the CLC on Kleman Plaza. Entrances to the Kleman Parking Garage are located on South Duval and South Bronough Streets. The rates are follows:

  • 0-2 Hours: $2.00
  • 2-3 Hours: $2.50
  • 3-4 Hours: $3.00
  • 4-5 Hours: $3.50
  • 5-6 Hours: $4.00
  • 6-7 Hours: $4.50
  • 7-8 Hours: $5.00
  • 8+ Hours: $6.00
  • After 6:00 P.M.: $1.00
  • Weekends all day:$1.00

Additional parking is available at metered street spots and other public lots located throughout downtown Tallahassee.

Buses: Buses should pull into the bus ramp on College Ave.  Enter the bus ramp by traveling South on Bronough St. and turning left onto College Ave.  The bus ramp will be on the immediate right.  The bus ramp is for drop off and pick up only.  Parking is available at the Leon County Civic Center (free for Leon County Schools; $35 for all other buses), the Governor’s Square Mall, or in the free parking lot at the corner of Gaines Street and Duval Street.
